About Us
Welcome to the Centre Regional Chemistry Teachers’ Association (CReCTA), hosted in Yaoundé, Center Region of Cameroon. Our association is dedicated to advancing chemistry education through innovative curriculum development, effective teaching methods, and robust evaluation techniques. We strive to ignite a passion for chemistry among students and educators alike, nurturing talent at all educational levels while aligning with both national and international educational standards to leverage societal chemistry knowledge requirements.
At CReCTA, we recognize the importance of collaboration primarily among chemistry teachers both public and private; and various stakeholders. We actively partner with the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) and various national institutions, as well as connect with other STEM associations, to promote interdisciplinary approaches that enhance science educational experience for all. Our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment encourages the sharing of ideas and resources, enabling our members to grow professionally and collaboratively.
We are passionate about professional development and offer a range of workshops, training seminars, and symposia aimed at empowering chemistry teachers. Our goal is to equip teachers with the latest methodologies and tools to enhance their teaching effectiveness and inspire their students even more.
In addition to our commitment to teaching, CReCTA is dedicated to advancing research in chemistry education. We publish journals, articles, and other resources that contribute to the ongoing discourse in the field, encouraging collaboration among educators and researchers to share best practices and innovative ideas.

The mission of CReCTA is to advance Chemistry Education through curriculum development, innovative teaching methods, and improved evaluation techniques, while fostering a love for the subject among students and nurturing talent at all levels, particularly for National and International expectations.
